The European Union Civil Protection Mechanism prevention project EDERA joined the 2024 edition of the European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly held in Vienna, Austria and online, from 14-19 April 2024, represented by Prof. Marc Berenguer.
On 16 April, the Director of Research of the Center of Applied Research in Hydrometeorology at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. BarcelonaTech, and coordinator of EDERA, conducted an on-site presentation entitled “Early warning Demonstration of pan-European rainfall-induced impact-forecast – the EDERA project”, in which he describes the products and utilities for forecasting the impacts of heavy rain and floods over Europe that have been developed within the EDERA project. This abstract was selected by session conveners as being of public interest.
The EGU General Assembly is Europe’s largest geoscience conference, which brings together geoscientists from all over the world to one meeting covering all disciplines of the Earth, planetary, and space sciences. The EGU aims to provide a forum where scientists can present their work and discuss their ideas with experts in all fields of geoscience.
